Holdenstedt Castle

Holdenstedt Castle is a medieval castle complex in the Uelzen district of Holdenstedt in what is now the district of Uelzen in Lower Saxony. The present castle building, a baroque manor house, was built around 1708 and houses the Uelzen Museum of Local History.

The museum Schloss Holdenstedt - Heimatmuseum Uelzen - collects and presents partly as a permanent exhibition, partly in changing exhibitions:
 Meublements from the Middle Ages to Art Nouveau
- Objects of cabaret
- Works by local artists and craftsmen
- Glass collection Röver.
  Consumer glasses from the 17th to the early 20th century.
- Works by the animal painter Georg Wolf. 
  His artistic estate is owned by the city of Uelzen.
- Literature about Uelzen and von Uelzer authors
