Siebenlehner Wasserturm

The water tower was built in 1912 by the company Max Schwenke (Dresden-Neustadt) with a height of 42 meters and was intended to supply the town with drinking water.
Visible from afar, it became the landmark of Siebenlehn. With the connection of the village to the long-distance water pipeline Lichtenberg - Nossen dam and the construction of an elevated tank in Obergruna, the use of water from the Siebenlehn spring area became superfluous.
In 1993 the water tower was shut down. Interested parties were found for the preservation of the landmark and the "Förderverein Wasserturm Siebenlehn e. V." was founded.

The registration for the visit is possible under the telephone number 035242/64235.
