Hellabrunn Zoo

The Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich, founded in 1911, is one of the most renowned scientifically managed zoos in Europe. Over 19,000 animals from more than 750 species live in a unique natural paradise in the Isar floodplain conservation area.

Hellabrunn is the first geozoo in the world: The animals have been living here according to continents since 1928. A walk through Hellabrunn is like a journey through exciting animal worlds from the polar to Africa, from Europe to Asia and America to Australia. In natural communities, Hellabrunn's animals live together in spacious enclosures, just like in their home.
