Our Dear Lady

The two onion domes of the gothic cathedral and parish church of "Our Dear Lady" are the distinctive emblem of the city of Munich. It is located near the central Marienplatz in Munich's Old Town. The south tower of the cathedral can be climbed and offers a unique view over the rooftops of Munich and the Alps.

At the entrance of the impressive late-Gothic interior is notably one on the legendary Devil's passage in the floor of the church. Also worth-seeing is the royal crypt under the choir in the interior. In Munich's oldest resting place of the Wittelsbach isalso the grave of Emperor Louis the Bayer (1282-1347).
