Corridors and courtyards in Lübeck

The hidden world of the historical living corridors runs like a labyrinth through the backyards of almost the entire old town and is now part of Lübeck's UNESCO World Heritage and lively city culture. Once there were around 180 inhabited corridors and courtyards, today there are still around 90. Most of them are open to the public and freely accessible for a relaxed stroll through the old town, some are locked with a gate at night and a few have sunk into their own world behind closed doors .
