Golden Lion Memorial
One of the most important sites in the history of German social democracy is hidden behind the simple facade of house number 57. The restaurant was the scene of the founding of the Social Democratic Workers' Party (SDAP) on August 7, 1869.
The August-Bebel-Gesellschaft is now ensuring that the tradition of the memorial is preserved in the premises and that it makes its contribution to political education with events and readings.
