Corvey – Abbey, Castle, Museum

Corvey is more than just a former imperial Benedictine abbey. Since 2014, it is a World Heritage Site and also the most famous tourist magnet of the region. It is located directly on the Weser on the present city of Höxter in North Rhine-Westphalia. Corvey was an important Carolingian monastery, it had one of the most valuable libraries in the country, and many bishops emerged from the abbey.

Not only its well-preserved architecture, but also its exhibits in the museum, provide again and again for enthusiastic tourists. You can wander the great halls of the castle or book a guided tour of Corvey's history and its heyday. Here you will experience a rich spectrum of art and cultural history.
