Paulie nose white

On the grounds of a large zoo, several rabbit families live on a large green meadow under large shady trees. Paulchen Naseweiß also lives there, with his mum, dad, sister Mia and many rabbit friends. Paulchen is a little rabbit boy with a white snub nose, light brown fur and has a very big dream: he would like to go on a trip around the world and get to know lots of places and animals.

One sunny afternoon during the holidays, when Paulchen is sitting contentedly munching on the grass, a large, brown animal with two strange mountains on its back suddenly comes by. Interested to see who it might be, Paulchen goes to see it. "Tell me ... Who are you?" he asks, looking at the animal with wide eyes. "I'm Oskar and I'm a camel," replies the big brown animal and slowly moves on his way through the zoo. "Aha ... and where do you come from? I don't know anyone like you," Paulchen continues to ask with interest and follows Oskar on his way. "I come from Arabia, it's hot there and besides, there's a sea of sand!" - "Uiii ... that must be great", Paul dreamily thinks to himself, not noticing that he has arrived at a large lake because he is so dreamy.

There he suddenly discovers some large, grey animals cavorting on the shore and in the water. Curious, he hops over to them to also ask them who they are and where they come from. "We are hippos and live on the Nile, a big, long river in Africa, very close to ancient pyramids." But Paulchen is already not listening that closely, because a new animal has just caught his attention. It struts through the water on big, long legs and has a big, long beak with which it keeps pecking around in the water. "Good afternoon, what kind of bird are you?" asks Paulchen as soon as he has hopped to the shore. "I am a heron, I come from the Red Sea, where there are colourful parrot fish," the heron patiently explains. But Paul is again only listening with one ear, as he is busy cooling his little paws in the cold water before he wants to go home again.

"I hope I can find my way back," he thinks, lost in thought. The sun is already high in the sky and suddenly someone calls out: "Heeeh, heeey you!" Startled, the little rabbit turns around but can't spot anyone. "What are you looking at? Here I am!" the voice says in response. But Paulchen looks and looks and just can't find anyone. "Look here ... on the big branch, by the bush on your left," the voice rises again. "A dragon!" cries Paul, startled, and at first he leaps into the air. "A dragon? I'm a chameleon! I can change my colour and adapt to the surroundings." - Aha...", Paul only says and slowly dares to peep out from between his little paws again. After this fright, however, he hurries home at last.

"Where have you been for so long?" his family asks almost as if from the same mouth when he has arrived back in the cosy rabbit hole. After collecting himself for a moment, Paulchen begins to tell the story: "I was on a trip around the world!" he begins proudly. "I met Oskar, a camel. It lives in a sea and when it swims, only the mountains on its back look out like two islands of sand." - "Really?" asks Mia, his sister, looking at him with wide eyes. "Yes, he told us that himself!" her brother proudly announces and continues. "After that I was in Africa and met big, fat horses. They're all called Nils! And they live in pyramids." - "What nonsense," Paul's mum intervenes. "Remember, lying gives you long rabbit ears!" - "But it was really like that!" affirms Paulchen. "Then I met another heron at a very red sea, with whom I observed flying bird fish! They live there in the red water, are very colourful and sometimes fly around. When I wanted to go home again, I met a chameleon that can make itself invisible and turn into a dragon! It gave me quite a fright," Paul admits, "and then I scampered to get back home," he concludes his account of this exciting journey.

"I think ... it's time for the holidays to be over and school to start again," the rabbit's father says, after listening quietly to Paul's story the whole time. Then you'll learn again how to deal with the animals..." "Exactly," Paul's mummy agrees. "And now shoo to bed, it's much too late again." So after a little snack, Paul disappears into the bunny bed with his sister Mia and immediately starts dreaming about his exciting day at the zoo.
