Buchau hiking trail
Contrary to expectations, the Buchau hiking trail does not start in Buchau, but at the main train station of the large community of Mainleus. Continue to Willmersreuth and over the Main. This is followed by the villages Wolpersreuth and Gundersreuth. The Frankenweg leads over Dörnhof and to Peesten, with its dancing linden. In addition to beautiful hiking trails such as the Magnusweg, a forest continues towards the destination. It goes uphill towards Zultenberg, where already awaits the famous view from the Grauer Anger. The approximately 3 km long and largely flat hiking route to Görau is one of the most beautiful stages of the entire Frankenweg. Before reaching Buchau, the path once again extends through the forest corridor. A Shotterweg continues to Motschenbach and Willmersreuth, where it then goes down the local road. Finally, a bike and footpath leads back to Mainleus.
