Monastery museum Karden

The Abbey Museum presents itself with its extensive treasures in the renovated tithe house behind the Abbey Church, the former dining hall (refectory) of the abbey lords built in 1238. 2000 years of local history are documented with finds from Celtic, Roman and Frankish times. In addition, art treasures of the former collegiate monastery St. Castor are on display. Another main focus of the exhibition is the Treverian-Roman culture, which is mainly present on the Martberg between Pomerania and Karden.
