For more than 250 years Freiburgers and guests from near and far have felt equally welcome in the Oberkirch, with its rich sense of tradition. It´s no secret that this is due to its unique location at heart of Freiburg, its ambience and its excellent cuisine.
The rooms of the wine tavern, between the tiled stove and the wooden panelling, offer true homeliness. During the summer months you can socialise and enjoy the colours of the marketplace directly on the Münster square terrace.
Exquisite culinary delights await you if you take seat in the Oberkirch. Our current creative kitchen crew and our attentive service are doing their utmost to inspire you everyday anew. We offer a wide range of seasonal, regional delicacies – from sublime asparagus dishes and fresh summer vegetables through to chanterelles and game delicacies. Our wine menu is bursting with selected bottles of Baden wine. Sip on a carafe of Baden house wine or try one of our refined bottled wines.
