Sustainability - OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

Awarded the gold enviromental seal, participation in the Bavarian Enviroment Act, savings of approx. 854 tonnes of CO2 compared to the previous Year. We have 63 measures that you and we have implemented for our environment and hygiene without having to sacrifice the quality of a 4* hotel.

One example is "Bo(o)rn for nature 3of5".

"The kitchen philosophy on high-quality products is based on the five basic building blocks. The prerequisite of the processed food is that at least three of the five adjacent criteria must be fulfilled," Alexander Hatung (executive chef ).

As a shoulder connection with the "certified organic model region of the district of Lichtenfels", regionality is additionally increased with the organic farmers. 
As a member of the association "United Against Waste e.V.", sustainability is highly structured with the reduction of food waste and the waste of valuable resources. As a member of United Against Waste, we stand for the respectful use of food as a resource and teach this to both our staff and our guests. 

Last but not least, Alexander Hartung and restaurant manager Jana Endres have applied this to the beverage offerings. The first 23 organically grown drinks are on offer, with 72 different regional beers and spirits from our own district of Lichtenfels alone, and it is still growing. Thus, we now offer 205 organic products.
