Naturpark Hoher Vogelsberg
In the heart of Hesse lies the 883.36 km² Hohe Vogelsberg and is easily accessible from all sides. As early as 1958, the Hohe Vogelsberg was the first region in Hesse to be awarded the legal title of "nature park". The scenic and cultural diversity make the special charm of the Vogelsberg region for recreation seekers and nature lovers. In addition, the Vogelsberg is the largest contiguous basalt massif in Europe.
