When, in 2016, AKZENT Hotels was committed to sustainable travel and to counteract climate change, it was important for us to choose a reputable partner. The choice was made by Viabono GmbH, which not only distinguished itself by many years of experience (since 2001), but has established itself as an independent and leading professional organisation for environmental or sustainability certifications in the leisure and tourism industry.
The concepts are characterized by a meaningful level of serious expertise and credibility as well as practical orientation and pragmatism. Unlike competitors, the scientifically based certification concepts do not aim at querying measures, but at determining climate and environmental indicators in order to determine the actual state of environmentally and climate-friendly operations management. Here, Viabono offers tourist service providers in Germany certification at particularly marketable prices. True to the guiding principle: Ecology and economy fit very well together and often even complement each other excellently!
Viabono GmbH itself offers its own certifications, but also handles the dissemination, development, market launch, revision and/or implementation of certification products in cooperation with or on behalf of other institutions. Viabono thus generates the great advantage that tourist service providers receive high-quality services from the same source and thus save both work and costs.
Viabono GmbH has a comprehensive CO2 balance sheet prepared for each financial year in accordance with the GHG guidelines by an external specialist organisation. The emissions determined are compensated by a GOLD standard certified reforestation project in Panama
