Numerous artists from all over the world have been gathering in Binz on the island of Rügen since 2010. The reason is the annual sand sculpture festival. Astonishing works of art are created here from monumental blocks of sand.
The Rügen Sand Sculpture Festival is one of the largest indoor events in the world. The Rügen sand sculptures were first erected in 2010.
