Upper Silesian State Museum

As a cultural-historical institution, the Upper Silesian Regional Museum conveys to visitors various facets of the culture, history, economy, social and political life of the reference region of Silesia. The former Upper Silesian parts of the Prussian province of Silesia and the Habsburg crown land of Silesia are the focus of the museum's activities.

The Museum cooperates closely with German, Polish and Czech scientific and cultural institutions. At present, the OSLM has nine contractual partnerships with meeting places, libraries and museums in the Polish voivodeships of Lower Silesia, Opole and Silesia and in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic.
