Rennsteig Museum

The Rennsteig Museum includes the former local history room of Neustadt am Rennsteig.
The Rennsteig collection currently comprises 237 books and representative folders with over 4,7500 pages of written material.
The largest part of the exhibition is devoted to "Rennsteig literature".
There is a detailed "Literature and Subject Index" on the Rennsteig literature.
The "Total Boundary Stone Catalogue" also occupies a large space in the exhibition. At the moment it covers more than 1300 objects along the Rennsteig:

- Three-Lord Stones
- Forest boundary stones
- Boundary stones of offices
- reading stones
- Markers and signposts
- obelisks
- Deserted sites, prominent trees and graves
