Werra Valley Cycle Path

An attractive, family-friendly and well-signposted long-distance cycle path runs over almost 306 km from the two sources of the Werra on the Rennsteig in the Thuringian Forest to the mouth of the Weser: the Werratal cycle path. It impresses with the beautiful and varied landscapes of the Thuringian Forest, Thuringian Rhön, Werrabergland, Hainich, Meißner and Kaufunger Forest, but also with the many interesting and attractive cultural cities and towns and the half-timbered, colorful, hospitable villages along the river.
For many cyclists, the town of Eisfeld, which is located close to the Auenland holiday village, is the starting point for long cycle tours.
